🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What was the heart that painted a single branch rather than the whole tree?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This is a Chinese painting of unknown hand, where a single branch, not the whole tree, crosses the surface. Neither root nor trunk is shown, yet by the curve and joints of this one branch alone the spirit of the tree is conveyed. The part holds the whole within it. In this branch I see the power of discernment. Not everything must be shown for it to be known. Read the grain of one branch and you can surmise even the depth of the unseen root. In a person, too, the whole is revealed in one trivial act. One ought not to slight a single small branch.

🌱Apply It Today

When seeing a person, gauge the whole from one small act rather than the grand surface.
