🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What did a landscape that left so much blank actually paint?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This is a Chinese landscape of unknown hand. Much of the surface is left blank, unpainted, and the mountain and water sit to one side. Yet that empty space becomes mist or water or sky and completes the painting. It is painted by not painting. In this blank space I see the principle of filling and emptying. It is not that filling every place makes it rich. There must be an emptied space for the painted to breathe. So it is with words and with life: a deeper meaning dwells in the blank one leaves by not saying everything. Emptiness is not lack but another painting.

🌱Apply It Today

In word and in work, do not fill it all; deliberately leave blank space to breathe.
