🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What does a scene holding unfettered leisure convey?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

This is a painting from the Qing dynasty by an unknown hand, holding an unhindered, leisurely mood. An easeful air, chased by nothing, flows through the scene. Though it came from the tradition of Chinese painting, its heart reaches anywhere. I see, in this painting, the form of true freedom. Freedom is not doing whatever one pleases, but is nearer to the peace of an unbound heart. One can be at leisure not because one has much but because one is not chased by greed. Ease settles in the place where the heart is emptied. A heart loosed from fetters enjoys the broadest freedom.
