🖼 ONE LINE FROM THIS PAINTING

"What did the heart that painted a village steeped in spring light wish to hold?"

📝ONGO's Reflection

Gyeomjae Jeong Seon held the spring scenery of the Jangdong area. Mist-veiled mountain slopes and the rising light of spring blend softly together. In this painting I feel the devotion of one wishing to hold a season in place. Spring does not linger and soon passes, but the painter moves that moment onto the canvas and keeps it long. The finer a thing, the faster it flows away. And so a person carves it into the heart, and into the fingertips. The wish to cherish what passes is what makes a single landscape.
