大壯 The Great Vigor

大壯, 利貞 (대장, 이정)
Great and vigorous strength serves you when held true. The stronger the force, the more uprightness must go with it.
Thunder rolling above the sky — the yang breath grown vigorous, overflowing with power.
Today vigor runs high and power overflows. Yet the teaching of 'Da Zhuang' is: do not act where it breaks with propriety. The stronger the force, the more that pushing heedlessly leaves you stuck — a ram whose horns catch in the fence, able to go neither forward nor back. Govern strength with uprightness, discern when to advance and when to halt, and that momentum becomes great power.
The stronger the force, the more uprightness must go with it. Not to act against propriety is true strength.
Where is your strength running high, and how can you keep it from pushing past what is right?
