The measuring cup is the tool we hold every day to gauge the world. Measure with a stingy cup, and a stingy portion eventually returns; measure with a generous one, and a generous portion returns. This is not some mystical reward system but the natural physics between people. Stinginess accumulates around a stingy person; generosity accumulates around a generous one. The size of the cup I use today decides the size of what I receive tomorrow.
