🌿The Lineage — How the Answers Split

Laozi's saying — the great vessel is late in completion — stands on one axis of the lineage that split over completion and time. Laozi and Zhuangzi saw nature's unhurried ripening as the grain of the Way. Confucianism runs a kindred grain — Confucius grieved the sprout that never flowers and the flower that never fruits, knowing the weight of slow yield. But on the other side was a lineage that made speed a virtue. The Legalists prized swift results and efficiency, and modernity took rapid growth and instant outcome for progress. Must the great wait to ripen, or be hurried into being? The lineage split.
