It is said the history of philosophy divides into before Kant and after. I remember the bewilderment of first taking on this book. But the moment I grasped the epistemological turn Kant proposed, that it is not knowledge which conforms to objects, but objects which are constituted by knowledge, the way I saw the world was utterly changed. We do not see the world as it is, but only the world we are able to see. This book is an intellectual adventure that admits the limits of human reason while proving its greatness all the same.
