📝The Classic Answers
Mencius said that whoever has attained the Way finds many to help, and whoever has lost it finds few. Before the military might of a vast empire, a small band of rebels is hopelessly outnumbered. Yet a force that has lost what is right, however vast, gradually loses those willing to help it, while a side that holds what is right, however small, gains allies of shared purpose everywhere. Rebellion looks reckless only when we count the size of the force. Whenever I feel small before a great power, I ask which side is actually gaining true allies right now.
